AbstractMethods for obtaining quartz glass doped with cerium and titanium from high-purity quartzite from the Bural–Sardyk deposit are considered. The results of studying the absorption and luminescence spectra of glasses obtained with various doping options are presented. The role of oxygen-deficient (Ge-ODC) centers in the process of luminescence of quartz glasses activated by cerium ions is considered.
